Where did your fascination for tattoos come from?
I’ve loved drawing since I was a kid. However, I never dreamed of being a tattoo artist because of the stereotype that a tattoo artist should have tattoos. Life has developed in such a way that now I have become a successful artist and do not regret it at all. However, I still don’t have any tattoos.

So at what point in your life, you decided to become a professional Tattoo Artist?
Prior to establishing my career in the tattoo industry, I founded an art school. The school’s launch coincided with the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, necessitating a revision of my initial plans. An online advertisement on Facebook seeking an artist turned out they were looking for an apprentice. While I harbored no unrealistic expectations regarding my career trajectory, the experience proved highly successful, leading me to fully dedicate myself to tattoo artistry.

Where are you currently based?
My career commenced in Southern Florida. Following an invitation from John Kural and Dave Bautista of DC Society Ink in Tampa, I accepted a position at their tattoo shop. This location is a four-hour commute from my home. Initially, I maintained concurrent employment at two studios, but subsequently transitioned exclusively to the Tampa location. My current schedule involves one weekly trip to Tampa, where I remain for two to three days before returning home. Consequently, client consultations are conducted remotely. My workday typically ranges from ten to thirteen hours. I intend to join Black Serum in San Francisco in the near future.

How do you perceive the tattoo scene these days?
Historically, tattoos carried a negative connotation; however, they have evolved into sophisticated works of art. The artistry and creativity involved are consistently impressive, and tattooing has become a significant means of self-expression across diverse styles. This trend shows strong potential for continued growth.

How would you define your tattoo style?
As I mentioned earlier, I work in all styles. I like the diversity and ability to meet any customer’s request. However, I would single out a special style to which my soul lies. It is color realism or microrealism with gold elements.
