Today we are very pleased to introduce Eva Ferrero, a young and eclectic Tattoo Artist from Valencia, Spain. Eva’s love for art began in her childhood and eventually blossomed into a full-fledged career in tattooing. Today, she continues to evolve as an artist, constantly exploring new techniques and artistic styles.
How would you introduce yourself?
My name is Eva Ferrero, I was born in the late 80s in a city in Valencia, Spain. I’m a tattoo artist by profession, always seeking new experiences and learning opportunities.
Where does your fascination with tattoos come from?
Art has always been present in my life. Since I was a child, I’ve been passionate about drawing and painting, and what started as a hobby ended up becoming my way of life.
How did your interest in drawing lead you to become a tattoo artist?
As I mentioned before, what started as a hobby turned into my way of life, a passion that fills me every day. It all started when my partner, trusting my talent in other artistic techniques, surprised me with a tattoo kit. That gesture marked the beginning of a long but beautiful journey. Also, the support of my family has been key to my learning and growth in this profession.
How do you perceive the tattoo scene these days?
In recent years, the tattoo world has evolved by leaps and bounds. Today, in Spain, tattoos are fully integrated into society, which has created great demand and fueled the rise of incredible artists with worldwide recognition.
How would you define your tattoo style?
I love art in all its forms, so my style is quite varied. I enjoy working in both color and black, and I feel especially comfortable with Disney, anime, and cartoon tattoos, where I can play with solid, vibrant colors. However, I’m also passionate about realism, both in black & grey and color. That’s why I don’t limit myself to one style; instead, I explore different forms of expression in each piece.
What type of tattoo projects do you enjoy doing the most?
As I mentioned before, I love working with Disney tattoos, and I would love to do more projects in this style, even combining it with realism and adding a lot of color.
What is the most challenging aspect of being a tattoo artist in 2025?
Today, the demand for tattoos is enormous, which has raised the level in this field significantly. I am passionate about my craft, but I recognize that it requires a great deal of effort to stay at the top of the game in an increasingly competitive industry.
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a tattoo artist?
The most rewarding part of being a tattoo artist is leaving my mark on my clients’ skin. Sometimes tattoos are just a way to decorate the body, but often they represent lived stories, and some of them leave a special mark on you.
What has been your experience with tattoo conventions so far?
I have had the opportunity to participate in major tattoo conventions worldwide, winning over 15 awards. These experiences are an excellent opportunity to showcase my work to a broader audience. It is very rewarding to do a great job and receive recognition from both artists and the public.
Do you remember the first tattoo convention you attended?
Yes, how could I forget it! It’s a very special memory for me. My first tattoo convention was in Porto, Portugal, and I shared it with great friends who were part of my early steps as a tattoo artist. There, I won my first award in the color realism category, tattooing my partner, who was the first to believe in my talent from the very beginning.
What is your main reason for attending a tattoo convention?
My main reason for attending a tattoo convention is to keep learning and improving. I love meeting new artists and absorbing as much as I can from each of them. Plus, it’s an excellent excuse to travel, something I really enjoy!
What has been your favorite tattoo convention so far? And why?
Each convention leaves me with beautiful memories, but although I’ve participated in major global events like the Empire Tattoo Expo in New York, Golden State Tattoo Expo (in Los Angeles), and Rotterdam Tattoo Convention (Netherlands), my favorite will always be my first event in Portugal. It was a unique experience, full of great emotions and moments shared with friends who marked the beginning of my journey as a tattoo artist.
Who are the people you admire most within the tattoo community?
I admire many artists, each of them has their own essence. But due to their great talent and tattoo style, I’m particularly inspired by: Carolina Caos, Avalle Sampaguitajay (Jhade Lapos), Victoria Lee, Sam Barber, and Valentina Riabova.
What are your goals or dreams for the near future?
My main goal is to keep learning and exploring the world through my work. My last destination as a guest artist was Honolulu, Hawaii, and it left a lasting impression on me. My next goal is to be able to work long-term in this paradise.
