Our Story

In 2010, finding information about tattoo conventions was surprisingly difficult.

Events were scattered across forums, social media pages, and individual websites. There was no central place where artists, collectors, and enthusiasts could discover tattoo conventions around the world.

Recognizing this gap, Alex Van Dutch launched the first version of World Tattoo Events as a personal project designed to track tattoo conventions worldwide.

What started as a simple calendar quickly gained traction within the tattoo community.

As tattoo culture continued to grow globally, so did the platform.

Over the years, WTE has worked alongside hundreds of tattoo conventions, helping organizers promote their events and helping artists discover opportunities across the globe.

Today, World Tattoo Events attracts visitors from more than 150 countries and has become one of the most recognized online resources dedicated to tattoo conventions and the tattoo industry.
