World Tattoo Events (WTE) is the world’s largest platform, completely dedicated to the amazing world of Tattoo Conventions. WTE features 2000+ of the best tattoo conventions, expos, and festivals worldwide and it’s an indispensable tool for any tattoo professional working in the tattoo industry.

HISTORY

In the last 3 decades, society has been immensely influenced by the growing popularity of the tattoo culture. Small-scale, tattoo gatherings (attended mostly by bikers and outcasts) which started in the 70s, have now evolved into mega-events attracting thousands of tattoo enthusiasts and professionals: enter the world of modern Tattoo Conventions.

Despite the incredible popularity of these tattoo events, back in 2010, there was still no website with a comprehensive list of tattoo conventions. Therefore Alex Van Dutch, a tattoo aficionado and collector, started building an online tattoo conventions calendar, with the idea of helping himself (and eventually others) to keep track of the best tattoo events in the world. After a few months of work, a very simple beta version of WTE was released online in April 2010.

Fast forward to 2024 and what started as a simple side web project, evolved into one of the biggest tattoo websites online, featuring over 2000 tattoo events worldwide.

Meanwhile WTE has been collaborating over years, with hundreds of tattoo conventions heavily contributing to the success of many of them.

In 2021, Alex also opened the biggest tattoo studio in DaNang (Vietnam), called Dragon City Ink ★ Tattoo & Piercings Studio.

MISSION

WTE’s mission is to become the best possible online platform for the entire tattoo convention industry, helping tattoo professionals and tattoo fans to experience tattoo events in the best possible way.
