The 7th Sydney Expo is taking place on 13-15th March 2015 at the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park.
The 2014 event attracted over 16,000 visitors as well as an incredible range of both international and local artists, attractive retail vendors, exciting entertainer’s and special VIP guests Megan Massacre from NY Ink and Pin Up icon Sabina Kelley.
International artists San Jose’s State of Grace, Horitaka; tattoo artist from Sweden’s Swahili Bobs, Fingers Dead; and the renowned crew from New Zealand’s Cambridge Body Art were all showcased at the expo. They were joined by first class local artists such the glamorous Brisbane tattooist and owner of Garage Ink, Teneile Napoli; husband and wife tattooist team from Cherry Bomb Tattoo, Kat Abdy and Nathan Holdfast; and Tony Cohen, the tattoo artist for Rose Tattoo front man Angry Anderson.
Retailers and suppliers included Sullen Clothing, Baby Creatures, Black Flys, Killer Instinct, Royal Blood Clothing, Wanna Apparel, Skullavera, Ink Jecta, Protat, Tiger Tattoo Supplies, Hair by Tommy J and Made Status clothing just to name a few.
A few highlights of the 2014 expo were the first ever Girls of Ink model search which saw 20 of Sydney’s hottest inked up women strut their stuff and compete for the title of Sydney’s #1 ‘Girl of Ink’. Dave McKenna tearing it up on his new Yamaha motor bike, performing nail bitting stunts everyday. Sydney Cafe racers set up 30 of thier favourite custom made bikes, a vintage themed Pin-Up Pageant took the stage on Satruday afternoon followed by an evening Cabaret & Burlesque performance from Kelly Ann Doll, Casey Lynn, Diesel Darling and more…
